You’ll find Seascapes in the delightful coastal town of Illovo Beach, some 30 minutes south of Durban in South Africa. A quick 15 to 20 minutes drive from Durban International airport and less than five minutes drive from an excellent shopping centre – this fabulous holiday destination is the ultimate in convenience. Perched on a hill, Seascapes boasts spectacular, almost 180 degree views of the ocean from its sun deck. And if you’d like to get even closer, the beach is just a few minutes walk away! So much to do!
The area around Seascapes is perfect for a family holiday, with plenty of fun activities for all ages! From surfing, to scuba diving and fishing, or even visiting the local crocodile park – it’s all within easy reach. And if you can’t do without your regular eighteen holes, there are several excellent golf courses nearby which welcome visitors. The nearby beaches are patrolled by beach guards daily, so you can enjoy them in complete safety. But, if you´re feeling lazy, there’s also your very own private pool to enjoy. Watching the sun rise over the ocean, or the full moon throw its silvery path across the sea, is a Seascapes experience you will neverorget! Recharge your batteries in comfort and style!
Seascapes is a Victorian-style timber house, featuring spacious, high-ceilinged rooms and a fabulous wrap-around veranda. The cottage is floored in an elegant combination of original, restored oregan pine floorboards and (imported Italian) tiles. Newly-renovated and modernised, the cottage sleeps up to ten, in three large bedrooms and one smaller bunk bedroom.
The first family ensuite includes a lovely queen size four-poster, with full ensuite bathroom, and a recess with two bunk beds. The second family ensuite (with shower and toilet) includes a double four-poster bed and a single bed. In a separate, but connected, bedroom there are two bunk beds and another single bed. An extra baby bed is available on request. Each room also boasts its own ceiling fan to keep you cool on those balmy summer days. The cottage also features an extra guest toilet leading off from the living room.
From the spacious open-plan kitchen, living and dinning room, French doors open on to a large wooden sundeck. Here you can lounge with a book, braai with the family, take a dip in the pool, or at the crack of dawn enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the ocean. And if you feel like spending an evening at home, the television picks up all the local stations. All utensils for cooking, eating and drinking are provided, as are linen and bath towels. Guests should bring their own beach and pool towels.

In the vicinity are lots of activities for the family, surfing, scuba diving, fishing, visiting the crocodile park, to name a few. Several golf courses are near by - golfing days can be arranged. The cottage is less than five minutes drive from the supermarkets of Winklespruit. The nearby beaches are patrolled by beach guards daily.

Seascapes is best suited to two families. A maximum of five/ six adults can be accommodated with up to four/five children.

DirectionsOn N2 South from Durban (approx 30km) or the airport (approx 15km), take the 133 exit, Illovo Beach/ Karridene/ Winklespruit. At the stop turn left, at the next traffic light turn right (see the Spar on your right), next traffic light turn right in Winklespruit Road (see the Pick & Pay on your left). Follow the road for about 3km. Cross the river (bridge) and immediately turn left into Illovo Road. Follow the road curving up to the right, going up a short hill. At the top of the hill turn left in to William Brown Road. Follow the road as it heads to the sea, and your home from home! No 25. |
