What do our users think01.10.2009 by James Linton from South Africa - 5/5- I would like to add my view.....Man!!! what a view. Please accept my gratitude and comment, in so much as to say as far as affordable and Luxurious accommodation goes in our country, Beethoven Lodge in KZN is, and was FANTASTIC. I will and going to be there again very very soon. Thank you again.. James Linton. Room 12. 11.09.2009 by jeana lloyd from South africa - Mr james Patterson,im pretty sure everyone is entitled to their opinions, im thrilled you enjoyed your stay at beethoven lodge however being from South Africa i have stayed in plenty cottages/lodges on the beach and while beethoven is satisfactory at times im sure, others are out of this world. maybe you should try else where and you will see what i mean! Good day! 21.08.2009 by James Patterson from UK - 5/5- After having read a review, i was very dubious, but having stayed there before, i booked in anyway. i also stayed in rm 21; perhaps the lady was in there before they trimmed the lovely coastal bush, but i was thrilled by the sound of the sea, the little mongoose family came to visit, and the peace and quiet were wonderful. i found the room - and the aircon worked very well; i also enjoyed the spa bath in the room as well; the jacuzzi is apparently part of the spa area, and must be booked, a really worthwhile experience; i really enjoyed the food and the bar. Anyway, i will return again next year. Keep up the good food chef elvis! 07.01.2008 by Jeana Lloyd from South Africa - 2/5- i am extremely disappointed with beethoven lodge, it claims to be of four star grading however in our room things were falling apart/not working. we also booked a sea-view facing room (room 21)however the sea view is covered by so many bushes that you can hardly see it at all. Another thing is complete lack of privacy, on arrival we found our room to be right next door to the reception area (not even a metre away) and our sliding doors leading outside also right next to each other, with board meetings carrying on all the time we had people walking past our window looking inside. the aircon in the room was faulty and switches off whenever it feels like it...there is no dstv only a single movie channel on the most tiny tv screen ive ever seen. the breakfast was lovely the first day but unsatisfactory the next. Dinner meals extremely over-priced, and the jacuzzi nicely shown in most pictures ive seen on the websites, is now closed off as part of another suite and we have to pay to use it... overall i would not stay there again and would advise anyone i know to do the same. |
