Description

The relaxed atmosphere at Ironwood is created through a combination of warm hospitality and spacious well appointed units. Each has a garden or terrace with superb sea views, a kitchenette, TV and air conditioning or fan.

Garden fresh fruit and vegetables are served with a choice of fresh fish and seafood or traditional recipes. A tranquil, indigenous garden surrounds the swimming pool and a walk to the beach is less than 200 meters away. Horse ride, sunbathe, or fly fish on unspoilt beaches. Professional supervision is on hand to assist Scuba divers experience the experience the wonders of ship wrecks and protected reefs.

Game fishing, Dolphin and Whale watching, Bungi swing or Micro lighting are also arranged. A three minute drive to Selborne Golf Estate and Umdoni Golf Course.

Twenty other golf courses to choose from, including Durban Country Club. 3 magnificent Nature Reserves close by offer viewing of small game and magnificent birding. Children are welcome.

Ironwood is a family affair, Mom helps in the kitchen, Dad keeps the garden green and Caron ensures the décor is on the right place. Clinton and Warren take turns as head waiter and I would not manage without the cheerful capable help from Doreen, Princess, Primrose, Florence and Lindiwe. 

Accommodation

All our units are sea facing, spacious, en-suite with a lounge area, upstairs have a covered terrace, downstairs have a private garden. The bedroom area is either seperate or has been incorporated into the unit. All units have kitchenettes (tea and coffee are provided), and are all airconditioned. The upstairs units have ceiling fans. Bed linnen and bath towels are modern, the units are serviced daily, a hair dryer is provided.

The kitchenettes are for the guests convenience as we are not a self catering establishment.

Jean's Room

Upstairs with bath and double shower (private sea views from the shower and bath), queen sized bed and single bed and a private terrace. Total area 41 sq meters.

Victor's Room

Upstairs with bath and double shower (private sea views from the shower and bath), queen sized bed. Total area 51 sq meters.

Caron's Room

Family unit upstairs with a single shower, the main bedroom has a queen sized bed, the adjoining bedroom has ¾ beds. Total area 55 sq meters.

Jim's Room

 Family unit upstairs with a single shower (private sea view from the shower), the main bedroom has a queen sized bed, the adjoining bedroom has 2 single beds. Total area 55 sq meters.

 Marions Room

Downstairs with double shower, queen sized bed. Total area 41 sp meters.

Sidney's Room

Downstairs with bath and single shower and twin beds. Total area 55 sq meters.

Warren's Room

Downstairs with single shower, double sized bed. Total area 34 sq meters.

Clinton's Room

Downstairs with single shower, queen sized bed and bunk beds for 2 children in 1 bedroom. Total area 49 sq meters.
