Marlon Holiday Resort on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast of South Africa is surrounded by the abundant natural beauty of the subtropical trees and ferns.

Marlon Resort is something special as it nestles in a sheltered valley on the banks of the Damba River. This beautiful river flows gently down to a beautiful sandy beach within easy reach of the resort, where the warm, shark-protected surf and tidal pool makes for excellent fishing and swimming.

ACCOMMODATION

Marlon Holiday Resort offers cottages, log cabins, Plettenburg homes, caravan and camping stands.There are a wide range of recreational facilities available on site.

Caravan and camping stands
Large, level, superbly lawned caravan and camping stands to ensure your maximum comfort.
Electricity and water points on each stand.
A selection of shady, part shade or sunny sites.
Modern, hygienically clean ablution facilities with an abundance of hot water.
Large, well maintained scullery, laundry and clothes drying facilities.
Fully equipped chalets.

Self catering units

All our self catering units are fully equipped with bedding, chairs provided etc. Complete crockery, cutlery, cooking and kitchen utensils provided. It’s only necessary to bring your towels.

Log Cabin
The Log Cabin consists of one bedroom with two sleeper couches in the lounge. It is fully self contained with its own bathroom and patio.

Bedsitter:
The Bedsitter is a single room with stove, fridge, double sleeper couch and a bunk bed. It is fully contained, but you will need to use the ablution facilities. The ablution block is a few meters from the bedsitter.

Brick Cottage:
The two bedroom brick cottage has everything and more, it sleep 5-7 people. It is fully contained.

LOCATION

Marlon Holiday Resort is situated between Hibberedene and Port Shepstone. Marlon Holiday Resort is situated 10 km from Oribi gorge shopping centre and 25 kms from Margate. The beach is 700 meters from the Caravan Park, protected from the coastal winds.

  * Maximum of 6 persons per site. Electricity is included in the site fee. Second car @ R20.00 per night.
If you put up a pub tent, you will be billed an extra R30.00 per night for an extra tent.
Small dogs are allowed in Low Season only (by prior arrangment) @ R30.00 each, per night. Must be on a leash and cleaned up after.
Day visitors @ R10.00 per person and R20.00 per car, per day.
Overnight visitors @ R30.00 per tent and R20.00 per car, per night as well as the additional adult / child rate quoted above.

Directions

From Durban Take the N2 south of Durban and drive 90km towards Port Shepstone. Take the Hibberdene off-ramp. Exit 72 onto R102 along the south coast. Marlon is on the Damba River banks at Sunwich Port, 10km before Port Shepstone. Driving approximately 100km south of Durban, taking the Hibberdene off ramp, Exit 72 R102 along the coast you will find Marlon Caravan/Camping & Chalet Resort situated at Sunwich Port on the banks of the Damba River.
