In addition to an en-suite shower room and a kitchenette, the cottage boasts Digital Satellite TV with PVR (Sky-Plus) - so one need never miss your favourite movies or SPORT!! A secluded braai and barbeque area provides the ambience of a private bush camp. Also available for your use is a canoe and a home gym with weights. Friendly and sociable pets are permitted and pet-sitting is freely offered by your hosts! Your vehicle will enjoy secure parking within laser beams. The beach is within 2 minutes by car and 10 minutes by foot. Meals can be provided by arrangement. Although quiet and serene, the area has many superb restaurants and places of interest. This is definitely for the discerning holiday-maker! Your hosts are British and Zimbabwean. According to folklore, the original land was purchased from a relative of Viscount Horatio Nelson. Today, roads bearing the names of famous English seamen are daily reminders of the 1805 Battle of Trafalgar. The village celebrates Nelson Day annually and its 200th anniversary was a big event in 2005. The Trafalgar Marine Reserve is spectacular and contains 90 million year old fossil beds. In clear conditions an underwater reef provides an exciting snorkeling experience. Just a few kilometers to the south, the Mpenjati River mouth and lagoon are part of a 66 ha nature reserve protecting the unspoilt beach and dune forests. Follow the N2 southwards to Port Shepstone. Pass Port Shepstone, Shelly Beach, Margate, Southbroom and Marina Beach. Look out for the San Lameer resort on the left. Take the next turn-off on your left, signposted "Trafalgar". We are located exactly 1 km from the turn-off - the first house on the left.
